Lovely location after walking through all the glass shops. We had gnocchi with crab and GF spaghetti with crab. Both dishes were wonderful, flavorful, and had generous portions of crab. We also shared caprese salad, and glass of wine and expresso. Would recommend highly for an enjoyable, tasteful, and affordable lunch. My gluten free roll was warm and tasty. Menu in Italian, English & French.

Finally got black squid pasta (cuttlefish). A fun experience. Nice campo to eat at, with good shade, food and drink!

Always worth the trip to Murano. Years ago when I was doing a tour with a local guide, I was told “You have to try Lele’s! The seafood is always fresh and delicious.” My guide was correct back then and even with Lele having partially retired, the food and service keep me coming back. Murano isn’t that far from the main islands, but the vaporetto sardine experience during the summer is almost enough to discourage the trip. But every time I go, the the food alone is worth the trip. The waiters make constant rounds from the tables outside to the kitchen inside. When the weather permits and space is available, I recommend sitting outside. The house wines are excellent and if you’re hungry, the Grand Antipasto da Lele is a favorite of mine. I got Branzino as a main, smothered in artichokes. It took my waiter, Nicola, a minute to recognize me in a sea of constantly changing new faces, but as is common in Venice repeat customers are a special treat. Tourists are most common here, so language is rarely a problem. The kids seem to enjoy all the kinds of pasta, and the French fries look fantastic. It’s a special place in the lagoon and it will always be on my short list of places to visit when I’m in town.

I didn’t expect to have one of my best restaurant experiences in Murano, but this place truly surprised me. The food was excellent — the best meal I had during my entire trip to Milan and Venice. The owner is a great and kind man who served us himself with such respect and warmth, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We tried the grilled salmon and tagliolini ai funghi with a salad — both were absolutely delicious. Also I tried tiramisu which was the best I have ever tested. I definitely recommend trying this place — I’m sure you won’t regret it.

Busa alla Torre is a Murano institution, named for the vanished belltower of San Stefano. Set in a sunlit square, it’s famed among locals for Venetian authenticity and fresh seafood. I began with moeche fritte – soft-shell lagoon crabs, a rare spring and autumn delicacy, sweet, salty, and egg-crisp, offset by fried seasonal vegetables. Then came spaghetti alla marinara: pasta perfectly al dente, with fresh shellfish, ripe tomato, and a lift of parsley – proper delicious. Espresso closed with traditional biscuits: buttery esse Buranei and golden zaeti. Honest, vibrant Venetian cooking.

How nice to find such an authentic restaurant! Great traditional food, cordial atmosphere and homey decoration. The antipasto was excellent, as well as the pasta and the grilled calamari cooked to perfection. Outstanding almond cake and tiramisu! Strongly recommended
